Online shopping has evolved. People are still making purchases, but the path to the checkout page looks very different. Consumers are spending more time researching and comparing options with influencers and AI playing a growing role in the buying journey.

For affiliate marketers, this is good news. The buyer journey is longer, but there are more touchpoints to influence decisions than before. The key is understanding where attention is happening and how to strategize in the right way.

Consumers Research More Before Purchasing

Many consumers now put in significant research before purchasing, especially since online shopping allows you the opportunity to do so easily. People will often open multiple tabs, compare brands, read reviews, check ratings and sometimes even revisit the same product several times before making a decision.

What stands out here is how important validation has become. Reviews and ratings are often a significant deciding factor for purchases. A good landing page and strong ad creative can get attention, but if the reviews do not match expectations, users abandon their carts.

There is also more skepticism overall as consumers are more aware of paid promotions, sponsored placements and constant ads. Because of that, they rely on signals they perceive as authentic, like user generated feedback, detailed reviews, customer photos and real client experiences.

What this means for affiliates:

  • Comparison content matters more than ever (A vs B, best of lists, alternatives, dupes)
  • Review style content builds more trust than purely promotional pages
  • Content should answer objections, not just highlight benefits

AI Is Changing Product Discovery

One of the biggest shifts in recent behaviour is how people start their search process. Instead of going straight to traditional search engines and typing short keywords, many users now begin with AI programs like ChatGPT or similar tools.

According to mrge’s State of Commerce Advertising report, more than a fifth of respondents expect AI-driven discovery tools to influence over 30% of their traffic by 2026. This matters because it changes the entire discovery funnel. As a result, AI-generated recommendations are influencing online purchase decisions earlier in the journey. So even when users do not fully rely on AI for the final decision, it can be the first layer of filtering.

For affiliates, this means content needs to feel more natural and conversational, providing the answers people are genuinely looking for. Instead of focusing on short, high-level keywords, long tail and intent driven topics matter more because they reflect how people are really searching today.

Pages should be built around clear and specific questions rather than only targeting search terms. Just as importantly, the way content is structured matters, since straightforward comparisons, simple explanations and clear descriptions are more likely to be picked up by AI tools.

Social Commerce Continues to Grow

A huge portion of product discovery now happens while people are simply scrolling. They are not searching with intent, but are discovering through content. A video or a quick demo can create immediate interest, often without the user planning to shop at all.

Social commerce means affiliates need to lean into short-form and native content that fits each platform instead of repurposing the same creative everywhere.

Influencer partnerships are becoming stronger than traditional ads in many cases because they feel more authentic and drive faster attention. The main goal is to spark interest quickly, then guide users into deeper research where conversions actually happen.

Mobile Shopping Is the Standard

Mobile has become the default shopping device for many consumers. Over 90% of online purchases now happen on mobile devices, because that is where people spend most of their time scrolling, researching and making decisions. This trend shows no signs of slowing down, with mobile expected to account for an even larger share of retail sales in the years ahead.

What this means for affiliates:

  • Mobile optimized landing pages are essential
  • Fast-loading content directly impacts performance
  • Simple layouts outperform cluttered or content heavy designs
  • Clear CTAs improve conversion rates significantly

Influencer Recommendations Carry Weight

Influencers are now one of the strongest drivers of product discovery. In many cases, influencers create demand, and affiliates capture it.

This is where affiliates step in between the initial spark of interest and the final purchase, helping consumers feel confident that they are making the right choice before buying.

For affiliates, influencer traffic works best when it is supported with strong review and comparison content. Having detailed pages that validate the influencer’s message helps move people from interest to action. Niche creators in particular often deliver high-quality conversions because their audiences are more targeted and trust levels are stronger.

What These Trends Mean for Your Strategy

The way people shop will continue to evolve. But for affiliates, this creates more opportunities than before. The key is to meet consumers where they are with helpful, trustworthy content that answers real questions, builds confidence and adds value at every stage of the buying journey.

Affiliates who grow and adapt to these changing norms will be in the strongest position to drive higher conversions and long-term growth.

FAQ

Q: Do reviews still matter if users are using AI tools?

Yes, since AI often pulls from reviews. Strong review content increases visibility across both search engines and AI-generated recommendations.

Q: Is social media replacing search for product discovery?

Not completely, but it is becoming the first touchpoint more often. Users still search before buying, but discovery can start on social platforms.

Q: Is mobile optimization really that important?

Yes, most traffic is mobile, and poor mobile experience directly reduces conversions. Speed and simplicity have a direct impact on earnings.

Every affiliate wants to scale. When you get more traffic and more conversions, that’s where you start seeing more earnings.

But what often happens is people try to do too many things at the same time. When you’re constantly launching new campaigns, increasing budgets, and testing new traffic sources, it can become difficult to identify what’s actually driving results.

Affiliates who scale successfully tend to isolate winning campaigns, optimize them and expand step by step rather than spreading attention across too many moving parts.

In this comprehensive guide, we’ll break down how top affiliates grow in a sustainable way, including:

  • How to identify what’s actually driving performance
  • Why separating testing from scaling is critical for consistency
  • How to scale budgets safely without breaking performance
  • The role of tracking and data in making confident scaling decisions
  • How to use bonuses to accelerate growth
  • Ways to expand into new traffic sources and new locations while adapting messaging properly
  • How automation can reduce manual workload and help scaling efforts

Why Scaling Requires More Oversight in 2026

Scaling campaigns has become increasingly challenging because of how fast trends move across traffic platforms, algorithms, creatives and even with how audiences respond. What’s working today can shift pretty quickly and a campaign that’s profitable one week can become inconsistent the next, even when you’re increasing your spend.

The good thing is that, even in a constantly changing environment, scaling doesn’t need to be complicated or challenging, provided you scale intentionally. In fact, it’s usually best to keep it pretty simple.

Focus on what’s already working, make improvements, and scale step by step instead of all at once.

Start Small and Identify Strengths and Weaknesses

A common mistake affiliates make is testing too many offers, creatives, audiences, and traffic sources all at once. When everything is changing simultaneously, it can be hard to figure out what’s actually getting results and what’s dragging your performance down.

Instead, try to focus on smaller aspects of your campaigns so you can properly evaluate what is working and isn’t working. This gives you room to clearly see your strengths, like an offer that consistently converts or a traffic source that gets you solid engagement. It also makes it easier to catch weaknesses, like poor creatives or offers that bring in clicks but do not convert.

Once you have enough data, you can start sorting things into what is working, what needs tweaking and what should be cut. Instead of just spending more or making assumptions, you should be building on what is already proven to work, improving weaker areas and cutting out inefficiencies so your budget goes further.

Separate Testing from Scaling

One of the easiest ways to become overwhelmed is by testing and scaling at the same time.

Testing campaigns are where you try out new ideas, audiences, creatives, and traffic sources. Scaling campaigns are where you stick with what’s already proven to work and focus on getting more out of it. Use testing to gather new insights and discover opportunities, then transition winners into scaling mode where your focus shifts to increasing budget, improving efficiency, and maintaining stable performance.

When you constantly make changes to a campaign that’s already performing well, you risk disrupting the very thing that’s generating conversions. Use testing to gather new insights and discover opportunities and then scale campaigns to maximize proven opportunities. Once you start seeing patterns in performance, the next step is to isolate what’s actually working and shift it into a more stable setup. At that point, the focus moves away from experimentation and toward consistency and controlled growth.

So if you’ve tested 5-10 different creatives across a new offer and found 1-2 that consistently convert, those become your scaling assets. From there, you can move them into a dedicated scaling campaign and avoid making major changes that could disrupt performance.

It also helps to think of it as two separate budgets and mindsets. Your testing budget is for learning and discovery, while your scaling budget is for maximizing proven results. Keeping them separate prevents good campaigns from being overly modified and keeps your decision making much clearer.

Increase Your Campaign Budget (But Carefully)

One of the most straightforward ways to scale is to increase spending on campaigns that are already profitable.

This remains one of the most effective scaling methods because you’re spending on something that has already demonstrated results. It’s recommended that you increase budgets gradually rather than making dramatic jumps overnight.

As spend increases, continue monitoring important metrics. If the performance remains stable, continue scaling. If performance begins to decline, pause and determine what’s causing the drop before investing further.

If a campaign is generating a consistent ROI at a $100 daily budget, it’s typically better to start by increasing spend by 10-20% every few days instead of immediately doubling the budget.

It’s also important to remember that some platforms require time to adjust to budget changes. Monitoring after each increase helps determine whether the campaign needs additional spend to maintain profitability.

Make Sure Your Tracking Is Accurate

Before increasing spend, make sure you’re tracking for reliable data that can help you make decisions. Scaling a campaign with inaccurate tracking can lead to wasted budget and efforts. A campaign might look profitable overall but breakdowns could show that traffic is producing 90% of conversions while desktop placements are spending budget without converting, or that one creative is responsible for most of the ROI while others are underperforming.

Make sure that:

  • Conversions are being recorded correctly.
  • Data is segmented by device, location, audience, traffic source, creatives and CTAs.
  • Metrics like CTR are being monitored consistently.
  • Compare results across placements and audiences to identify where the best results are coming from.
  • Set up tracking dashboards so performance is easy to scan at a glance.

Take Advantage of Bonuses

Sometimes the easiest way to increase earnings is by taking advantage of opportunities that reward strong performance.

MaxBounty’s Performance Bonus allows newly approved affiliates to earn additional bonuses based on their performance during their first 90 days. Affiliates who generate $5,000 in earnings can receive a $1,000 bonus, while affiliates who generate $50,000 in earnings can unlock a $10,000 bonus.

The best part of this bonus is that it provides earnings that can be reinvested into campaigns to help build momentum and scale campaigns faster. The extra earnings can go a long way when you’re trying to grow and many affiliates decide to reinvest the bonus into higher campaign budgets or testing new opportunities.

Not only does this help you scale at the start but also gives you clear performance goals to work toward as you grow your campaigns.

Expand Into New Traffic Sources

If you have a successful campaign on one traffic source, consider expanding it into others. A campaign that performs well on social media may also work on native advertising, search traffic, email marketing or another channel.

For example:

  • A Facebook campaign can be updated for Instagram.
  • A campaign generating conversions through influencers can be expanded by running paid ads using similar concepts.
  • A Meta campaign for a financial offer can be adapted into Pinterest content, where users are actively searching for inspiration.
  • A successful TikTok video can be edited for short form content on Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Make sure to look into each platform to determine best practices and use cases. What works for one traffic source might not work for another, but with a few small adjustments, you can update your successful offers for new traffic sources.

Scale Into New Locations

Many offers accept traffic from multiple countries, which creates opportunities beyond a single market. It’s typically easier to start by expanding into countries with the same language and consumer behaviour before testing more diverse markets.

For example:

  • US → Canada
  • UK → Australia
  • Germany → Austria

Starting with similar markets often requires fewer creative changes and can make the expansion process smoother.

Remember that expanding to a global market means updating your messaging and creatives for a global audience. Beyond just language, different regions have different cultural tones and references so your content needs to reflect that if you want to see growth. For example, if an offer is targeting the US you might use the term “electricity bill” but the same message in Canada should be updated with “hydro bill.” Even if the language is the same, using the correct terminology helps to be more trustworthy and relevant.

When entering a new location:

  • Review offer restrictions carefully – many offers have geographic restrictions.
  • Adjust targeting settings.
  • Consider local language and cultural differences, even for regions close in proximity.

Vertical Expansion Within the Same Offer

Many affiliates assume scaling means constantly searching for the next winning offer. In reality, some of the best growth opportunities come from getting more out of a campaign that’s already performing well. So, rather than moving on to something completely new, consider testing different angles and messages for the same offer.

For example, if you’re promoting a financial offer, one audience might respond to messaging about saving money, while another may be more interested in paying off debt or making big purchases. The offer itself doesn’t change, you’re just presenting it in a way that resonates with different groups of people.

Some variations you could try include:

  • A budget angle focusing on reducing monthly expenses
  • A debt freedom angle highlighting getting out of credit card debt faster
  • An angle centered around saving for major life purchases (homes, cars, vacations, etc)

Each of these creatives can be tested across the same or different traffic sources, depending on where your audience is. You can also go a step further by adjusting format and delivery, not just messaging. A short form video ad might perform better for certain angles while a single image or simple headline performs better for different messaging. Even small changes in tone (urgent vs. educational vs. inspirational) can impact performance depending on your angle and audience.

Look To New Audience Segments

You’re not stuck at just finding new offers or adding more traffic sources. You can reach new audiences with an offer that’s already working.

For example, a food delivery offer could be promoted differently depending on who you’re targeting:

  • Working professionals: Save time on meal planning and grocery shopping.
  • Parents: Healthy family meals with less preparation and cleanup.
  • Students: Affordable meals for busy schedules.

You can also experiment with new audience segments by testing:

  • Varying age groups
  • Beginners versus experienced users
  • Various income levels
  • Different lifestyle interests

When looking at an offer that’s working, ask yourself who else could benefit from it. A simple shift in messaging can open up a new audience without requiring you to start a new campaign.

Automate What You Can to Scale Faster

When you’re running multiple campaigns, automation (and AI tools) can help with the operational and administrative aspects of your affiliate marketing initiatives.

You can use tools or platform rules to handle things like:

  • Automatically adjusting budgets when a campaign consistently hits your performance target.
  • Pausing underperforming ads once they’ve spent enough without converting.
  • Triggering alerts when CTR drops.
  • Creating daily or weekly performance reports.
  • Flagging campaigns that suddenly fall out of their normal performance range

AI can also help here for things like trend spotting or highlighting anomalies so you’re not digging through data manually. You’re not letting AI run your campaigns, but it can take some of the manual workload off your plate so you can spend more time on creative decisions, testing new angles, refining messaging, and scaling.

What it shouldn’t be used for is deciding your creatives or replacing testing decisions. That still needs a human layer because performance often comes down to things like the angle, the hook, the audience intent, etc.

Building an Affiliate Marketing Strategy That Lasts

Scaling in affiliate marketing happens when you slow things down enough to understand what’s actually working, then build around it with structure.

Ultimately, you can create more opportunities based on what’s already working. With solid campaigns and expanding strategically, you can build a more sustainable affiliate marketing strategy that continues to grow over time.

Quick Tips

  • Let data guide decisions instead of assumptions.
  • Keep detailed notes on what’s working and what isn’t.
  • Avoid making major changes during periods of strong performance.
  • Continue testing new ideas while scaling existing ones.
  • Focus on consistency rather than overnight growth.

Social media is a popular traffic source for affiliate marketing but many people overlook the unique strengths and nuances that each platform has.

Pinterest was founded in 2010 and has steadily built a diverse user base over time. In 2026, Pinterest continues to be a strong and relevant platform for affiliate marketing thanks to its large and active user base.

Pinterest has around 550 million monthly active users and 275 million weekly active users, making up more than half of its overall audience. This is a big increase from 100 million active monthly users in 2015. Like the CEO claimed in 2024, people are coming to Pinterest more often and the lower funnel focus is driving strong results for advertisers. In 2025, their revenue totaled $4.2 million, increasing 16% year over year.

What Sets Pinterest Apart

Where Pinterest stands out for affiliates is how it functions differently from traditional social media. Unlike most social platforms where content can disappear within hours, Pinterest content can continue driving clicks and conversions for months. It also focuses more on keywords and search relevance compared to followers, which means even new accounts can gain traction if their pins match what people are searching for.

Most importantly, while other social media platforms primarily function as entertainment, people on Pinterest usually aren’t just casually scrolling. Instead they’re actually looking for products and inspiration, which is why the traffic often converts better than traditional social media. In fact, 85% of weekly active users make purchases based on pins.

Understanding Pinterest as a Platform

Users search keywords for content related to what they want to learn, plan or buy. That changes how traffic behaves.

On Instagram or TikTok, content usually depends on engagement. Once a post loses momentum (which can happen quickly) traffic can disappear. Pinterest content tends to have a much longer life cycle because pins continue appearing in search results over time.

Pinterest users also tend to search with intent. Common searches are:

  • Product recommendations
  • Gift ideas
  • Budgeting tips
  • Home improvement ideas
  • Beauty routines
  • Meal planning
  • Fitness programs
  • Money making opportunities

Is Pinterest Valuable for Affiliate Marketing?

People use Pinterest to plan future purchases, compare options, organize ideas and research products before buying. That intent is what makes Pinterest traffic so valuable, because users are already in a decision making mindset.

Pinterest users are also generally more willing to click outbound links compared to audiences on other social media platforms. Pinterest was designed to send users toward websites, blog posts, landing pages, product pages and resources. This creates more opportunities for affiliates to drive traffic directly to offers or landing pages.

The long term lifespan of Pinterest content is another major reason affiliates see success on the platform. Pinterest content can continue appearing in search results for months or even years after being published. A single high performing pin can consistently generate clicks, saves and affiliate commissions long after its been published.

Building Long Term Success

Common Mistakes That Hurt Accounts

  1. Spammy or misleading pins
    • Pinterest prioritizes user experience, so lean away from exaggerated claims or clickbait style content that can actually hurt performance. Pins that don’t match the landing page experience often lead to lower engagement as well.
  2. Overposting affiliate links
    • Accounts that only push affiliate offers without providing value can appear overly promotional so it’s best to be balanced with educational, inspirational or otherwise genuinely useful content.
  3. Broken landing pages
    • Like with any offer, sending traffic to pages that load slowly or no longer exist significantly impacts engagement and can also and negatively impact long term account trust.
  4. Inconsistent posting habits
    • Pinterest rewards accounts that stay active consistently over time. Long periods of inactivity followed by excessive posting can make growth less stable compared to maintaining a steady publishing schedule.

What Pinterest Rewards

  1. Helpful and valuable content
    • Content that solves problems, gives inspiration or helps users perform best.
  2. Solid pin creation
    • Creating new pin designs, updated graphics and fresh content variations helps maintain visibility in search results. Even if you’re promoting the same offer, new creatives can help reach different audiences.
  3. Consistent activity
    • Regular posting shows that an account is active and reliable. Consistency often helps content gain momentum gradually over time rather than relying on short bursts of traffic.
  4. High quality visuals
    • Pinterest is a visual platform, so using high quality images is incredibly important for performance. Use clear images, readable text and visually appealing layouts.
  5. Relevant keywords
    • Like a search engine, keyword optimization is important for visibility. Using relevant search terms in titles, descriptions and boards helps Pinterest better understand and categorize content.
  6. Trustworthy links
    • Pinterest values reliable destinations that provide a good user experience. Secure websites, quality content and relevant landing pages help build stronger account credibility.

Using Affiliate Links Effectively

The goal with promoting offers on Pinterest is not to force offers into content but to create content that genuinely helps users discover useful products or services that fit what they are already searching for.

High Converting Verticals

Several verticals already perform well on Pinterest, like finance, beauty, health and wellness, home products, fashion, digital tools, productivity, online education, and DIY content.

Offers That Naturally Fit Searches

The closer the offer matches what the user is searching for, the higher the chance of converting. Stronger conversion rates usually occur when the content feels relevant and useful.

For example, budget templates fit naturally within finance content, skincare products work well with beauty searches, kitchen tools align with recipe content, and productivity software fits business focused searches.

Direct Linking vs Landing Pages

Affiliates commonly choose between direct linking and sending users to landing pages before the final offer. Direct linking can work well when the offer is relevant and the promoted brand already has strong recognition. In some cases, removing extra steps can improve conversions.

Direct links can also create challenges, which is why some affiliates choose to link to landing pages, blog posts or videos. There is also less control over the user experience, which is why many affiliates prefer using landing pages. They can allow for better tracking, email collection and higher conversion rates when used correctly.

Quick Tips

  1. Batch create pins
    • Instead of trying to design pins every single day, set aside focused time blocks to create them in bulk.
  2. Use templates
    • Once you’ve got a few strong layouts, you can swap text, images, and colours for different visuals.
  3. Schedule daily content
    • Scheduling helps you stay consistent so your content keeps going out without you having to manually post every day. There are several third party platform tools that allow you to do this.
  4. Repurpose content across platforms
    • If you have a high performing Youtube video, creating a visual and linking to it can drive new traffic and reach a new audience.
  5. Leverage seasonal trends
    • Seasonal content performs especially well on Pinterest. You can reuse strong ideas and keep benefiting from recurring search spikes.

The post How Influencers and Affiliates Are Unlocking the Full Potential of Performance Marketing appeared first on MaxBounty+.

]]>
Influencer marketing and affiliate marketing are often viewed as separate approaches, but they consistently deliver stronger results when used together.

Affiliate marketing gives influencers a natural extension of the content they’re already creating, turning their engagement into a direct revenue stream without changing how they connect with their audience. At the same time, influencer partnerships give affiliates access to highly engaged audiences that can be difficult to reach through traditional traffic sources alone.

Influencers drive results across some of the most consistent verticals, like surveys, eCommerce and shopping and financial offers. They all perform for slightly different reasons, but the common theme is relevance and the connection to the audience.

Influencer marketing is a strong way to promote offers because it doesn’t feel like traditional marketing when it’s done right. It’s built into content people already trust and engage with. When the offer fits what people are already interested in and it’s introduced in a natural way, people are more likely to engage.

Biz Opp Vertical

Interest in making money online is always growing, especially as there’s new opportunities as technology continues to evolve. This type of content fits naturally into formats that already perform well like side hustle ideas, quick tips to earn extra income, and day in the life or tutorial style videos. The value is immediate and easy to understand, which is a big part of the appeal and why they perform so well.

It also aligns with how people consume content now. Users are scrolling quickly and looking for simple things they can apply right away. In many cases, the barrier to entry is low which makes it easier for audiences to take that first step.

However, because a lot of content in this vertical leans into big promises or claims, audiences have gotten used to questioning what they see. If something feels a little too good to be true, they’ll move on almost instantly.

That’s why being transparent about what’s being promoted matters. When it’s clear how it works and what someone can actually expect, it can feel genuinely useful.

eCommerce and Shopping Offers

Shopping content continues to be one of the most consistent performers in influencer marketing, especially on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. People aren’t necessarily passively scrolling, they are actively looking for what to buy next, which makes it much easier to turn attention into action and conversions.

Popular ways to bridge the gap between content and promoting offers are video formats like product hauls, trend breakdowns or forecasts and recommendation style content. Discount codes and limited time deals can also be incorporated and can help create a sense of relevance and timing that encourages people to act while the interest is there.

What makes this vertical especially effective is intent. The audience is already in a buying mindset, and because of that, shopping offers tend to perform reliably year round, with even stronger results during Black Friday and the holidays.

Financial and Credit-Based Offers

Financial offers like credit cards, credit score tools, checking accounts and other banking services are a different type of promotion compared to most other verticals. They require a higher level of trust, which means the way they are introduced matters just as much as the offer itself.

These offers tend to perform best when they come from influencers who already operate in personal finance, lifestyle, or education. It’s important to avoid leading with promotion and instead focus on providing value first. When people clearly understand what they are getting and why it matters to them, they are much more likely to engage.

Some effective angles include:

  • Explaining benefits like cashback, rewards or points
  • Breaking down how credit building actually works in simple terms
  • Showing use cases, like everyday spending or travel savings
  • Comparing options so users can see the difference in value
  • Answering common concerns around fees or eligibility

The content should feel more like guidance than advertising so it naturally builds credibility. That is what ultimately makes users comfortable enough to take the next step.

How Influencers Can Effectively Promote Offers

A strong promotion strategy goes beyond just dropping a link and hoping people click.

Many influencers now use link in bio tools like Linktree to bring everything together in one place. Instead of sending people to a single offer, it creates a more organized experience where audiences can find what they’re looking for easily. When the users journey as simple as possible and there’s fewer steps between content and action, it generally leads to better conversion rates

Custom discount codes are another simple but effective tool. They give audiences a sense of exclusivity, like they’re getting access to something special, and it can create a sense of urgency that encourages people to take action before the offer runs out.

On the content side, certain formats consistently outperform others. Tutorials, reviews and personal experience style content work especially well because they don’t feel overly promotional. The offer becomes part of the story rather than the focus of it.

Content strategy and platform optimization play a major role in how well affiliate offers actually perform. It’s not just about what you promote, but how you adapt that message to fit the platform and the way people use it.

Each platform is different. Understanding that difference is what helps turn content into consistent performance. Short form content works best when the goal is to grab attention quickly and introduce an idea in a simple and digestible way.

Longer form content, on the other hand, gives you space to explain things properly. It’s especially valuable for higher trust offers where people need more context before taking action. This format allows you to build understanding, answer questions, and create more confidence around the offer.

A strong strategy usually comes down to balancing approaches rather than relying on just one.

Key considerations:

  • Build trust. It’s a major factor in whether someone engages with or ignores content
  • Use short form content to capture attention and get initial interest quickly
  • Leverage long form content to explain offers in more detail and establish credibility
  • Adjust messaging based on how users behave on each platform
  • Use Link-in-bio tools to help organize multiple offers and improve user experience
  • Use custom discount codes to increase engagement by adding exclusivity and urgency

The financial vertical has always been a consistent performer for affiliate marketers but recently it has only continued to grow and gain even more traction. As more services are moving online, digital tools like mobile banking apps, instant loan approvals and credit checks are making financial products easier to access than ever.

Affiliate offers involving loans, credit scores, banking accounts and credit cards also continue to see steady demand as consumers look for ways to improve their financial health. Whether that means managing debt, building credit, saving for big purchases or finding better accounts with more rewards, these offers are evergreen.

Growing awareness combined with the fact that it’s now easier to access digital financial tools, affiliates have an opportunity to reach audiences who are actively looking to take action.

Demand for Financial Offers Is Growing

One of the biggest drivers behind the growth of financial offers is increased consumer awareness. Because of different offers and rewards, people are paying closer attention to their account fees and comparing financial products more carefully

Seasonality can also play a significant role. Periods like the start of the year and tax season bring spikes in financial activity. However, unlike some verticals, finance tends to perform well year round because the need for financial products is consistent.

There’s also been a shift toward digital first financial services. Online banking and quick loan approvals have made financial products more accessible than ever. This ease of access lowers the barrier for conversions and helps improve overall campaign performance.

Featured Financial Offers

CreditScoreIQ (CPS): Users can access a full credit report and score for just $1, making it an easy entry point for users looking to monitor their financial health.

Spike My Credit Score (SOI): A MaxBounty exclusive portal that connects users with services designed to check or improve their credit score.

The Shift to Digital Finance Is Driving New Growth

In person banking has seen dramatic dips as online banking provides more convenience to users. When someone wants to check their credit score, apply for a loan or open a new bank account, they can do it quickly from their phone. Because apps and online platforms make these services easier to access, it can lead to higher conversions for affiliates.

This also means that affiliates have a chance to reach highly motivated audiences. With people using their phones or digital devices to apply for loans or accounts, audiences are engaging more frequently and making quicker decisions which creates an ideal environment for campaigns.

If you deliver a clear, helpful messaging that matches user intent, you’ll find it drives stronger engagement and higher conversions. Just make sure the campaigns are optimized for mobile devices. Creatives should display properly on both mobile and desktop screens and be easy for users to interact with. This keeps users engaged and increases the likelihood of conversions.

Important Considerations for Financial Campaigns

While the opportunity is strong, the financial vertical comes with its own set of considerations.

First, trust is critical. Audiences are more cautious when it comes to financial decisions so your messaging needs to be clear and accurate. Overpromising or using misleading angles can ultimately end up hurting both performance and long term credibility.

Compliance is another factor to consider. Financial offers will often have stricter guidelines depending on the region and product type. Making sure your traffic sources, creatives and landing pages align with these requirements is essential.

It’s also important to match the right offer to the right audience. Someone looking to build credit or consolidate debt will respond differently than someone searching for a no limit credit card or a business loan. Make sure to test different traffic sources and platforms to determine the best use case.

Financial Offers Remain a Strong Opportunity

In a landscape where performance can fluctuate across verticals, financial offers stand out for their consistency.

As more people take control of their finances with digital products and services, the demand for solutions will only continue to grow.

Reaching an audience is just the start – what really matters is how they respond.

Google Display advertising remains a key channel that, when used strategically, supports awareness, reinforces credibility and can contribute to revenue performance.

Even in 2026, display advertising is still a strong and effective channel. By targeting people based on their interests, browsing habits, past website visits, and demographics, it continues to drive real engagement for campaigns of all types.

What are Google Display Ads?

Google Display Ads are visual ads that appear across the Google Display Network.

Instead of waiting for someone to type a search, these ads reach people while they are already browsing online. That could be while they are reading an article, watching a video, scrolling through an app, or checking their email. The Google Display Network reaches around 90% of global internet users, making it one of the largest advertising networks available.

What makes them so versatile is how they are targeted, because they don’t depend on specific keywords. Instead, they use signals like interests, browsing behaviour, previous website visits, and demographic information to decide who sees the ad. In other words, you can reach the right audiences even when they aren’t actively searching, which keeps your campaigns visible and creates more chances to convert.

In fact, display advertising spending was increased by 15.5% in 2023, showing the important role it still plays in campaigns.

Choosing the Right Format for Your Campaign Goals

Performance almost always depends on aligning ad format with campaign objectives.

For awareness initiatives, responsive display ads and standard banner placements help maximize reach and maintain consistent exposure across environments.

For promotional pushes or seasonal campaigns, visually strong creative formats can highlight specific offers and drive urgency.

The effectiveness of display advertising increases when format selection is intentional. Impressions, engagement, conversions, and long-term revenue each need slightly different creative and targeting approaches.

Creative Best Practices

Clear value proposition

Your messaging needs to communicate quickly and clearly. Users scroll fast, and effective display ads answer three core questions immediately:

  • What is being offered?
  • Why does it matter?
  • Why now?

If it’s clear, relevant, and shows why it matters right now, users are much more likely to click or take the next step.

Strong call-to-action

A direct call-to-action guides behaviour. CTAs with strong intent like “Shop Now” or “Get Started” are good examples.

Mobile friendly design

A large portion of display impressions occur on mobile devices. Readable text, simple layouts, fast-loading assets, and high-contrast visuals significantly impact click-through rates and downstream performance.

A/B testing

Consistent testing separates stable campaigns from optimized ones. Testing variations in headlines, imagery, layouts, and calls-to-action helps identify which combinations resonate most effectively with specific audiences.

Common Pitfalls

Overly broad targeting

Broad audience settings may increase impressions but often reduce efficiency. Layered targeting strategies that incorporate audience interests, behavioral signals, and remarketing lists typically deliver stronger performance.

Weak creative testing

Without intentional testing, it’s tough to tell whether results are coming from the audience you’re targeting, the message you’re using, or the way the ad looks.

Google Display Ads are still a valuable tool for reaching and engaging your audience. When your campaign goals, targeting and creative are aligned, display advertising goes beyond visibility and can encourage real engagement and measurable results.

]]>
Commerce Advertising continues to evolve, but one thing remains clear in 2026: influence still outperforms when it comes to driving sales.

mrge’s latest report reveals that influencers and blogs are still leading the way in 2026. Creator driven channels continue to stand out – these findings are based on survey responses from individuals and organizations across performance, content, partner, and affiliate marketing. Together, the data shows a picture of what is working and where influencers and blogs lives amid AI driven discovery.

People still buy from voices they trust, and creator led content remains one of the most effective ways to turn interest into action.

Commerce Advertising Across Publisher Types

The commerce advertising landscape is broad and varied. It can be anything from large media companies, deal and coupon sites, price comparison platforms, niche blogs, and social creators. Each plays a role in how consumers move from discovery to purchase, but not all compare equally in performance.

Some publisher models are beginning to lose effectiveness. Those that rely heavily on generic traffic or outdated formats struggle to keep pace as consumers expect more relevant and helpful experiences.

The Top Sales Driver

When respondents were asked which channels drove the most sales, influencers consistently came out on top. This is not because they reach the most people, but because they reach the right people in the right context, where conversions live.

Influencers do more than recommend products. They explain why something matters and answer the questions buyers already have. The combination of credibility and context makes

Blogs Role in Driving Sales

Blogs continue to play a crucial role in commerce advertising, especially for consumers who want to research before they buy. In 2026, blog content remains one of the strongest ways to capture high intent traffic and support confident purchasing decisions.

Compared to other publisher types, blogs often deliver fewer clicks but higher quality ones. Readers arrive looking for answers or even reassurance. When content is well written and genuinely helpful, it builds trust that translates directly into sales.

Many successful commerce strategies still rely on blog content to deliver consistent performance over time, long after a post is published.

The State of Commerce Advertising Report also reinforces the continued strength of blogs. For consumers who want to research before purchasing, blog content remains one of the most reliable conversion drivers.

Comparing Influencers and Blogs to Other Publisher Types

Influencers and blogs stand out for one key reason: They influence decisions rather than simply exposing products to an audience.

Other publisher types can be effective at driving awareness or short term spikes in traffic. Influencers and blogs, however, tend to perform better when it comes to conversions because they meet consumers at moments of genuine intent.

This shift highlights a broader change in performance marketing. Success is no longer about reaching the most people. It is about being present when a decision is actually being made.

Why Creator-Led Content Works

Creator led content works because it feels real. Influencers and bloggers build relationships with their audiences over time by focusing on shared interests, honest opinions, and practical advice.

Rather than trying to appeal to everyone, these publishers serve specific communities. That focus allows them to engage deeply without needing massive reach. Their influence comes from relevance and trust, not scale.

In an environment where algorithms and AI shape discovery, human connection remains a powerful differentiator.

Moving Forward

For affiliates and marketers, the takeaway from the report is clear. Traffic strategies should focus on channels that actually influence purchase decisions rather than simply driving visits. This could mean:

  • Prioritizing influencer partnerships that align closely with your target audience. Look for creators who have high engagement and authentic connections rather than just large followings.
  • Invest in high quality blog content that answers consumer questions, compares products, and provides real value. Evergreen posts can continue driving sales long after they are published.
  • Test and measure conversions by publisher type, not just traffic volume. Track which channels deliver actual sales and use that data to optimize budget allocation.
  • Combine strategies so that influencers, blogs, and other trusted publishers reinforce each other. A user might discover a product on social media and then read a blog review before making a purchase.
  • Shift budget toward trusted and niche publishers instead of generic high volume placements. In 2026, trust often determines whether a click turns into a purchase.

By focusing on influence and credibility, you can maximize ROI and ensure your campaigns reach users who are ready to act.

Even as Commerce Advertising continues to evolve, influencers and blogs remain central to performance success. They prove that meaningful influence still matters in a landscape shaped by automation and scale.

The post Publisher Case Study: In-House Survey Campaign Optimization Boosts Publisher EPC by 20% appeared first on MaxBounty+.

Overview

Survey Authority is one of MaxBounty’s owned & operated properties that we’ve built to give publishers exactly what they want: performance, flexibility and stability. We saw publishers face common issues in the survey vertical and wanted to provide a consistent and well managed experience for both publishers and advertisers.

Survey Authority has driven +40% higher publisher earnings with $2M+ paid out to publishers.

Obstacle

With survey traffic, publishers frequently faced:

  • Unpredictable conversions
  • Unstable funnels
  • Backend changes

Relying on third party platforms can make things even trickier. Traffic quality can dip without warning and affiliates were often left dealing with slow updates. That lead to lost earnings and stalled campaigns, while advertisers ended up with a lower ROI and shaky performance.

We wanted to provide publishers with a stable and managed solution that kept campaigns running smoothly.

Solution

Because Survey Authority is fully owned and operated by MaxBounty, the funnel was monitored, optimized and adjusted daily. This eliminated reliance on third-party updates and allowed issues to be addressed immediately. Publishers benefited from stable performance, predictable conversion flow, and reduced volatility.

Customization was also a major advantage. Most publishers in the survey vertical have their own setup or unique user flow, and many need specific landing page language, layouts, or graphics. If a publisher needed a custom LP, the AM can get it built quickly. This flexibility allowed them to fine tune Survey Authority to match their traffic, not the other way around.

In addition to standard CPA/CPL models, MaxBounty also supports custom CPC setups. One publisher came to us after running multiple survey offers and struggling with inconsistent EPCs.

Because of this, it was becoming impossible to manage profitability and confidently scale traffic. Rather than continuing to chase volatile CPA performance, the publisher asked to test Survey Authority on a CPC basis at a rate that worked for their traffic.

We launched a custom CPC setup for Survey Authority, paying on click instead of lead completion. This immediately removed conversion volatility from the equation and gave the publisher consistent and predictable returns.

Since making the switch, they’ve been running Survey Authority successfully for over a year, using the CPC model as a stable foundation for scaling survey traffic.

Results

Survey Authority delivered strong, measurable performance across the network, including:

+20% average EPC increase over comparable survey campaigns

+40% average publisher earnings increase over comparable survey campaigns

$2M+ total paid out to publishers promoting Survey Authority

Survey Authority continues to perform because it’s built with both publishers and advertisers in mind. MaxBounty’s team stays hands on to monitor performance, optimize the funnel and provide the kind of customization that helps publishers scale confidently.

If you want to run Survey Authority or explore custom setups, reach out to your AM and they’ll get you started. Not a publisher yet? Join MaxBounty now and start earning.

The post YouTube Shorts vs. TikTok vs. Instagram Reels: Which Drives the Best Results for Affiliates? appeared first on MaxBounty+.

]]>
The rise of short-form video content has been one of the biggest shifts in social media and performance marketing, at the same time, in the same cycle.

Short form video content allows for consumer education, fast feedback loops, creative iteration at scale when used properly across the right platforms.

Here’s where most people get it wrong, though: TikTok, Reels and Shorts are not built for the exact same purpose. And your results are going to depend on your messaging across each platform.

Understanding what each platform does best lets you maximize their impact, turning them into reliable traffic sources instead of just hoping for success.

Interested in using short-form video content as a traffic source? Let’s break down the three most popular platforms so you can determine which will drive the best results

YouTube Shorts

Reach

YouTube Shorts offer great search discoverability, making it easier for audiences to find your content over time. Shorts can rank in YouTube Search and show up in browse, which means your content isn’t limited to just the initial feed push.

Its compounding view cycles are also fueled by the algorithm and suggested videos, meaning that a well-performing short can keep gaining traction long after it’s published. This is unlike Tik Tok or Reels which tend to have much shorter lifespans, where content peaks quickly and then fades from viewers’ feeds.

This means there’s less pressure to have a video perform well right off the bat and you can instead focus on building a library of content that steadily drives traffic and pushes viewers toward longer and higher-converting videos.

Because of the Youtube ecosystem, short-form content naturally circles back to longer videos, where your audience can get more details and you can increase conversions.

Content & Practical Use

Think of YouTube Shorts as a way to plant seeds that lead viewers to your longer form content (YouTube videos) and make it a habit to consistently add to a library of Shorts that naturally guide people toward those videos.

Focus on evergreen topics that either educate, entertain, or showcase products (or all three at once) because these are the kinds of videos that keep driving traffic after they’re published.

It’s important to experiment with different captions and hooks to see what grabs attention but don’t get caught up trying to make every single video go viral. You’ll most likely find that consistency and volume over time will pay off far more.

Make sure you’re gently directing viewers along the path you want them to take by using end screens or pinned comments to point them toward your longer videos, where the engagement and conversions happen.

Best Use Case

Use YouTube Shorts as the channel to build traffic and stack up a library that keeps working over time, and then push those viewers into longer videos where conversion happens.

TikTok

Reach

TikTok is unmatched when it comes to initial growth. Its video content can garner a significant amount of views almost instantly, which gives creators and affiliates the opportunity to test creative angles.

If you need feedback on a campaign, TikTok can be extremely effective. You can see what resonates with your audience within hours rather than days or weeks.

Its algorithm is unique and favours trends, so if you can tap into what is hot, you can generate exposure quickly.

Content & Practical Use

The key is to lean into trends and create content that is timely and relevant, because that’s what drives the fastest reach and engagement. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different hooks and video formats so you can quickly figure out what resonates with your audience.

Keep your videos punchy and to the point, especially in the first few seconds. Attention spans move fast on this platform, and TikTok’s algorithm rewards content that captures engagement in the first two to three seconds.

At the same time, make it a habit to monitor your analytics closely, because what performs well today might not tomorrow, and the insights you gather can help inform content strategies not just on TikTok, but across your other channels as well.

Best Use Case

TikTok is less predictable in the long term. Its content lifespan is shorter, and trends move quickly, meaning the same video that explodes one day might be forgotten the next. It also doesn’t offer the same compounding traffic or deep funnel potential that YouTube Shorts provides.

That said, TikTok is great for testing creative ideas and seeing what is resonating with your audience in real time. You can use it to experiment with different formats, styles, captions or angles to quickly gather insights, and then take the concepts that work best and apply them to other platforms where traffic and conversions are more stable.

Instagram Reels

Reach

Instagram Reels is known for having the strongest brand safe environment among short-form platforms. The platform is slower and less volatile than TikTok, meaning trends don’t pop up and disappear overnight. This means you have a place to nurture and build credibility and trust with your audience. Reels works well for establishing authority and is a reliable platform for partnerships and brand collaborations.

Content & Practical Use

In terms of content, Reels is better suited for audiences that respond to professionalism and consistency. Using it can support engagement and help maintain a trusted presence online.

Because of that, your main focus here should be on consistency and authenticity, because you want your content to feel trustworthy.

Think ahead when planning your content so it supports brand partnerships and maintains audience trust, rather than trying to follow trends.

Best Use Case

With Reels, you’re not getting the same immediate viral velocity as TikTok or the compounding traffic potential of YouTube Shorts. It is best used as a complementary channel to maintain audience trust and scale partnerships once the initial traffic and testing have been done elsewhere.

Making Short Form Work for You

Short form video content can be an excellent tool in performance marketing, but it’s important to understand the unique role each platform plays.

YouTube Shorts stands out as the best anchor for affiliates and marketers looking to turn short-form into predictable traffic sources. The most effective strategy is to leverage all three platforms intentionally: use TikTok to discover what works, anchor your traffic and conversions on YouTube Shorts, and support your authority and partnerships through Instagram Reels.

The post AI’s Role in Driving Top-Performing Native Ads in 2026 appeared first on MaxBounty+.

]]>
As an affiliate, you’ve probably run into challenges when selecting traffic sources.

Some sources are expensive, some underperform and some just don’t give you the creative flexibility you need to deliver impactful results. Native ads are a great option, because they integrate seamlessly into content feeds, allowing you to reach users in an engaging and non-intrusive way.

Native ads are designed to match the look and feel of the platform they appear on, whether as sponsored content or promoted posts.

They outperform traditional display ads, with average CTRs of 0.20% compared to 0.05% for standard banners. That higher engagement makes native ads a strong choice for affiliates who want to scale campaigns and reach their audiences naturally.

We talked to a native ads expert, Revenue Tactics’ Tom Bell, who runs the Native Ads Masterclass about how affiliates can use AI tools in their advertising, and how he anticipates the landscape to evolve moving into 2026.

The Creative Challenge of Native Ads

While native ads perform well, they’re not without challenges. One of the biggest hurdles for affiliates is the creative production. High-quality images and visuals are essential for performance, but sourcing them can be time consuming and expensive.

Hiring designers and buying or sourcing stock images can eat into your time and budget, especially if you’re testing multiple angles or targeting different audiences.

This is why AI-generated content has become a popular tool for affiliates looking to save time, money and effort. With tools like MidJourney and ChatGPT, creating images is easier than ever, and oftentimes free. What once took hours or even days can now be produced in just seconds, at no or low cost.

According to Tom, “AI-generated images are a huge time and cost saver for affiliates. You can instantly create hyper-specific visuals that match your ad angle — without hunting through stock sites or paying designers. For testing, that speed is gold.”

Testing different angles is also important when executing native ads, and sometimes even minor tweaks in imagery can make a big difference in CTR. Tom says that AI can help affiliates test faster by generating multiple image variations and drafts that you can refine.

Does That Mean AI is a Replacement for Creative Work?

Despite its feasibility, AI generation isn’t a total replacement for human generated images and content. Tom says that while he uses it himself, human oversight is still needed for solid results. “I use it to brainstorm curiosity-driven hooks or create fresh imagery that aligns with the story of an offer, but I always add human editing to ensure the tone and psychology are on point.”

One of the main risks with relying solely on AI is authenticity. Native ads need realism and relatability, so if an image looks too polished or artificial, it can actually hurt trust and engagement.

Tom points out that AI images can increase CTR because they look unique, but when they become unrealistic looking, performance can suffer.

Best Practices for Using AI in Native Ads

So how can affiliates use AI in their native ads without sacrificing quality?

“The best performing AI images tend to look like genuine editorial photography” says Tom, which means blending imperfections and harmony with the story angle. focus on visuals that tell a story your audience can relate to.

For example, instead of a perfectly staged AI photo of a person smiling, use an image that shows genuine expressions or small imperfections that feel human. Instead of relying solely on AI to create an image for you, use it as a time saving tool – you can edit your existing photos or enhance certain elements, like removing backgrounds or adjusting lighting.

AI and Native Ads in 2026

AI generated content and images are continuing to transform native ads, and we’re going to see this trend continue into 2026. They’re allowing affiliates to scale faster and create targeted visuals, which is especially helpful in the early stages as an affiliate.

Tom thinks that we’ll see “AI become more integrated directly inside DSPs and ad platforms — automating creative testing and optimization at scale.”

For affiliates, the advantage no longer lies within the speed in which you can create creatives, but instead with your strength in giving AI the best strategic inputs.

However, if you want high quality traffic and conversions, human oversight is still necessary if you want conversions – at least for now.

Big earnings deserve big rewards.

That’s why we’ve launched a new two-tier performance bonus that gives new affiliates up to $10,000 in bonus earnings in their first three months at MaxBounty.

How The New Performance Bonus Works

This new performance bonus eliminates the monthly thresholds of the previous bonus structure while also offering affiliates a higher overall reward.

Here’s how it works:

  • Sign up to become a MaxBounty affiliate.
  • Have your affiliate application approved
  • Opt-in to the promotion via the top-right corner progress bar in the MaxBounty Affiliate Dashboard.
(Click on ‘BONUS TIER’ to unveil the opt-in button)

From there, every dollar you earn in your first 90 days will then count towards the total required to achieve one of two bonus tiers:

Affiliate Performance Bonus Tier 1

Generate $5,000 in earnings in your first three months to automatically unlock an additional $1,000 bonus.

Affiliate Performance Bonus Tier 2

Generate $50,000 in earnings in your first three months to automatically unlock an additional $10,000 bonus.

If you’re eligible for either bonus, that amount will automatically be applied to your account 90 days after your application was approved.
